Make Skills Great Again

Hello

Nowadays there is no point in using skills (exception are healing skills and sometimes stuns). For example, my crit is doing almost the same damage as my strongest skill (coming from 165+ Lv), so it's clearly no point in using them, considering they have very long animations.

Now one of the biggest issues with skills is that they are using Base Attack Power + Skill Power = Damage system, which is stupid.
The system based on percentage was really good and skills were the main power back then.

Don't complain !!! There is a bright side of this - no needs to grind over 100k sp now, probably u'll be fine with just 15-20k .
Buy 2 jags and no more issues with long cool down or animation on skills..
Sarcasm off...

yeah, gotta love that devs promote playing characters without SP. Gladly all those days where you needed to farm a lot of sp went to the past. /s

I am for a reason to use skills again. That was the reason my first toon was a wizard. Actually they could fix this with a new set of armor say another 173 set or if they raise the cap a 180 set that instead of the 150% crit/deadlies it has 150% skill damage or whatever percentage is appropriate. They could even make a few accessories that lower levels could use that could boost the power of skills to a range where people will want to use them again. Could drop variations of it from the different world bosses. kami, grd, ggd etc.

I dont agree with you that you need a new high level set to fix that issue. Skills, in general, should be always be better choice than regular hits, on low level, or high level. One exception is that >30 lvl skills would be useless like they were before the elemental update (and skill damage update).

I didn't say it was the best fix it's just the easiest and most likely to happen fix. You must have missed the accessory part for lower levels, or for people that did not want to use that armor. Just looking for an easier way to fix the issue rather than them having to re-balance all the damages...

I kind of undestand that you want to have the skills back as badass as they once were. Because, to be honest, i want that too!

Skills are always meant to be greater/stronger than your base attack.

As is started with Last Chaos like 7 years ago, it all seemed wonderful and well played. beside the fact that i didn't knew anything about what's really going on and patches and stuf...BUT... i always loved the skills. and than i stopped playing for some private reasons and from now on, 2 years ago, i came back and o wonder, you had that stupid elephant-pet and the using as much as the meaning of your Skills were dead ever since. which is really, really sad.

One thing was a good start... no pet skills on server 4 - but the skills still aren't as strong as their meant to be. which at the end, was a good start but that's all. they please have fix it as soon as possible just like bringing skills dmg back on top over base attack. just like the fights would be even more greater than just stunning your opponent and base attacking them to he very end.

The only real issue I can see with raising the skill damage is Rogues will be catapulted way ahead in the damage area...not like they already aren't there but, it will be even worse then, unless rogue skills are adjusted which needs to happen anyway with a few of the weaker and unused skills...
