Even if carnival is over, our costume update is not!

Dear Irisians,

First of all we would like to thank you for the great feedback that we received for the Costume patch.
Some of you may already have spotted the placeholders in the costume inventory and have an idea about what is coming next.

We are almost ready with everything we are doing for the costume inventory and features and like to give you a quick preview again.
Hopefully already next week have everything fixed. In our test build, we can already use the weapon, shield and backpack costumes, but we have some trouble when it comes to mixing single items with 5-piece-suits.
Maybe we just did not find the right counter or value in the huge patchwork that the former developers left for us to clean up.

However, we will be including yet another feature that many of you are waiting for quite a while. You will be able to decompose your 5-piece-suit into single items - yet loosing the fortune buff, but being able to mix them as you like.
There may be some graphical glitches specially when it comes to complex costumes like the Greek ones, but we leave it for you to choose what you want to mix or leave.
Also as soon as everything is ready, we will remove all C1 costumes from the shop and include the respective C2 versions for everything also allowing you to have the gang costume and school uniform as 5-piece-suits.

One small feature that was derived from the costume extension system, will be available already after the maintenance on 1st of march. Back then, when pet-armor and weapons became upgradeable, we got lots of feedback stating that it's not worth it, because the gear will vanish after 30 days. So we are opening the extension capability also for pet-weaponry and armor with the next patch. From then on you can extend the duration of your upgraded pet-gear via the very same feature!
Attention: We will also remove the 15 day costumes like Zorro from the item shop and include new 30 day versions with HP/MP, so you will have the same boosts on all costumes and can chose the best visual appearance.
If you already have the Zorro costume, of course you can still use extenders on those as long as you want, and we may also include other costumes with different seals for special promotions later.

With the removal of the C1 costumes, we will also remove the bonus Book of Melding from the item shop. We will not disable the feature, so you still can use what you have on stock. You just cannot get any new ones anymore.
For everyone keen on the upgrade that comes with the books, we will offer new 30 day platinum refining stones as an alternative item.

For your convenience, we will add one more thing also: All costumes available in the item shop will be wrapped in some kind of lucky-box - just without the lucky part. You will have to double-click the box to unfold the "real" costume then. This allows you to take the costume to your inventory without the time starting. Also this allows you to trade those boxes in-game. And as long as the boxes are not unfolded, you can stack them in your inventory or stash.
All item shop changes will go live with the full implementation of the remaining costume features - most likely on 8th of March.

Did you know?
Since the release of the costume update last week, 4627 items have been converted into a costume in Last Chaos, and it looks like many Irisians have a totally different taste. Most converted costumes - with only 53 times each - were Wanderer Boots and Endemic Shirt
The longest extension applied to a single item was 300 days - wow - we hope you enjoy it!

Feedback wanted:
If you get a selection of different seals on your costumes and not only HP/MP boosts, would you want to use the reforming-potion on your costume as well?
Feel free to discuss the pros and cons of this idea. Even though we would have to do lots of different base-costumes with different seals, if you like this feature, we may do it...

Happy gaming,
Your Last Chaos Team
