How about a Fix for the monsters going behind walls and in the floors

Really I am not sure why we need a poll for this because it seems to me it's the natural progression of where we are. To me new content seems a pipe dream currently. So I think fixes that fix obviously bad bugs in the game should be fixed so when it comes time for new content(if we get any) you will have a clean base to build from.

their allso hideing in the sky / roof of things like in tarain sometimes "rare" but happens they are above like up in a hillside (far up) or over tree tops.
allso in all dungeons their happens to hide in the roof. :thumbdown:

Are you kidding!?! If they fix the wall/ceiling/sky hugging mobs they will remove half of my frustration with this game. Now if they restore the tab select to work as designed (they have X-trap now so no more bot excuses) they will remove the other half of my frustration and what will keep me away from the game. Before you know I'll be playing in full swing again. :)

AP or not AP? (Now IC or not IC?) That is the question...

I got killed by the Palpatine in lab the other day with 98% and after using full ign.... cause as soon as I went to attack he jumped up on a pillar.... he could hit me... but I couldnt hit him.

I can so relate...nothing like hitting tab and targeting a mob behind the wall causing your toon to charge the wall and do a face plant.

I love when I target a monster who is not in the wall and go to hit him only to find him move behind it, then I disconnect and have to run all the way back. [/sarcasm]

i would like for tab target to work as it used to where u target the closest 1 when u hit tab and not something thats a mile away or behind wall's.
i allso think that monsters are not supose to map walk and hide in locations where they cant be hit, even tho as they are now they can still hit u even u cant hit them.
this would be a very nice thing to have working.
it is very anoying the way it is now

Any fix to this issue would probably require a huge overhaul of some of the game's mechanics, which for a dinosaur of a game like this, would be 2020 before the first fix attempt would be released (which would go horribly wrong with you clipping outside the map each time you summoned an Elephant, or some other hilarious bug), "zoning" mobs so they don't go past certain co-ords unless attacked would help keep some off the walls, and removing other invisible barriers that cause things to hide up in the sky might help that part too.

This problem with mobs has been around since I started playing back in '08, and I doubt it would be sorted any time soon, as much as I'd like to see it.

please don't abuse the suggestions section to throw in hidden bug-reports.

This section is meant for creative / innovative ideas and suggestions. If you spam it with bug-reports, it is extremely hard to find the cool ideas though.
Bugs shall be reported just normally to any member of the GM-Team in private messages.

I will answer on this specific request anyways:
Monsters ending up in the walls is one of the oldest issues in LastChaos at all. Even though reported several times, the original developers were unable to provide a working fix for the last 10 years, so your assumption, that a general fix won't be seen soon is right. For what we know, this issue is deeply connected to the engine design and positioning mechanics and would required a complete revamp of all positioning logics.

If you are aware of locations where it is really bad, we can look into those spots and try to add a pseudo-fix by just playing around with spawn locations, but that's the best we can offer so far.
Either way, please don't report those spots in this tread for the already given reasons, but contact a GM with details.

Also we cannot promise to have a solution for those issues, but we will look into it.
