@ANGEL - If you scroll up in this thread, you will see that I originally mentioned DCS because it is a point to consider when deciding the Cooldown time of a skill. I did offer an opinion on the matter, which is the entire point of posting a thread here on the forums, and it is NOT forbidden to have an opinion. Just because it differs from your own does not mean it should be dismissed.

You're contradicting yourself by telling me to leave my thoughts on the overall effect Cop has on DCS out of the thread, and then keep talking about NS' Cop. NS Cop has nothing to do with this thread because it is about Archmage skills. Blizzard is an Archmage skill, Cop of Night is not.

My point, which I apparently failed to get across, was that when deciding a skill's Cooldown time, it should be based off of its' usefullness and how powerful said skill is, nothing more or less. Using Blizzard to instantly remove Crystal Sympathy during DCS is in fact one of its' many uses, as such it should be taken into consideration when deciding its' Cooldown time.

Blizzard has a Skill Range of 10.0 and skill targets all from the center of the caster.

Capsule has a 15.0 Skill range and perma CD and coupled with reg hits of 20.0 Range, Arguably Ex rangers can take down an Arch Wizard way before they finished pressing the key stroke. Archers can pretty much permantly silence Arch Wizards. If you are worried about Blizzard during siege bring 3 - 4 Archers and Blizzard will never see the light of day. I haven't seen an Archer in siege in so long, maybe this will bring them back?

It is nearly pointless to cure Archer Silence, one its spammable and no amount of resistance will save u against 3/4 Archers. Also there are witches and other CC that can nullify Wizards.

But let us step outside of Siege for a moment please. Think about the Arch mage during leveling from 1 - 173 and before getting all the Cooldown Seal Glory. New player, cant afford CD accs at the moment, cant afford Cd helm. They are locked out of so many skills for a long time because of the Cooldown. Where as other classes don't experience this struggle. 1 minute at most to utilize their skills.

@Crossy I mentioned so many times Ns's Cop only to point u the obvious - the effect of Blizard is not unique attribute of Archmage class. When ppl ask for revamp of CD , they didn't ask to make it 3 sec cd, neither 30sec ..
Fyi I do play archwiz since the times we had 100% cd. Yes it was awesome to spam blizzard but I never could win vs archwitch with his aoe silence skill. So we actually ask to revamp all skills and make them equal. If archwiz gets 1 min cd of blizzard, then archwitch will have 1min on their storm cloud too. About DCS - ull have to adapt to new gameplay.

I think I am ok with a powerful skill like blizzard having a long cool-down. Some of the other skills could use an adjustment though If we want to talk about ridiculous cool-downs for no reason lets talk about Ye ole Wizard...Who plays a regular wizard anymore...and why would they? Opps this is about arch wiz...

For fare play just use 200 cd reduction potion that would help a lot in pvp/cs I know I do during Castle Seiges :D

@ANGEL - I don't quite understand why you feel the need to jump to conclussions and put words in my mouth, but I'll adress this one last time: I have NEVER in this thread or any other said anything against changing the Cooldown time on Archmage skills, and that includes Blizzard. All I have said is that I feel that Blizzard should have a long Cooldown time. Not nescesarily as long as it does, just that it is a very useful skill, and thus should have a long Cooldown time. Also, I repeat: This is MY opinion! Having an opinion is not a crime! The entire point of posting a thread here on the forums is to allow people to give their own opinion on a subject.

@PRIMEX - I'm not saying that there aren't ways to deal with Blizzard, or anything else in the game, be that in Siege or not. All I have said is that a skill should be judged by its' usefulness, and have its' Cooldown time determined from that. Yes, by that same standard, skills like Confusion Capsule, Bellow and Decay should have a higher Cooldown time than they currently do, but that is a discussion for another thread.
